The focus on the Telluride Mountainfilm World Tour in Australia and New Zealand will be on extreme outdoor adventuring and sports. The selection of short films we have sourced is world class. Given the expected demand, we have committed to launch the tour at 14 locations throughout the region in March and April 2017.
Moving forward, we are proposing to run the festival screenings in in September / October in 2017 and beyond. We plan to own this space and time each year. We want to showcase the latest, most popular and award winning films, fresh out of the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival.
Held every Memorial Day weekend (last Monday in May), Telluride Mountainfilm is a documentary film festival that showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues that matter.
Entries for the festival are received from around the globe, showcasing the wonder of life.
Along with exceptional documentaries, the festival goes beyond the film medium by bringing together world-class athletes, change makers and visionary artists for a multi-dimensional celebration of indomitable spirit.
Mountainfilm, which includes interactive talks, free community events, a gallery walk, outdoor programming and presentations, aims to inspire audiences to action on worthy causes.
